The following is main interface,there are four menus, Record,Report,Setting and About ,you can access each function by click each menu.
Record Menu Record menu can manage all kinds of watching record which include add new record,edit record and view record,you can also view the bird watching book for reference.
Report Menu
You can querying watching report and submit online report.
Setting Menu
You can set watching location ,watching device,user management ,template management ,catelogy management ,database management ,network setting and GPS setting ,the lanaguage switch is also included .
About Menu
This menu include three function ,you can find the software version and register information and help .
From the main men ,you click the New Record menu ,you will find the following windows,system will load the saved bird template from the database .System will load template name and template location informatioin .The template is the collection of bird for a location ,it will very convienent for you to create a template for birding record.
When you create a template ,just select it and load it.
You will see there are three tab in the windows, Information ,Category ,New Seeds
In the information windows, you will find you can input record name ,location ,user ,device date information, you can also click open GPS button to get the lattitude and longitude information of current postion .When you receieve the GPS singal from your GPS devcie ,the picture in the left will turn to blue icon otherwise is red .If you can not receieve the GPS singal ,just reset your GPS device .
In the category tab ,you can find a listview ,you can input the note and QTY information by click the relative bird name .After all data is input ,click update button to refresh . When you click Open GPS button ,the longitude and latitude information will fill in the text box automatically .
You can add new bird from the NewSeeds tab.Select the outline,target,department,dependents ,the right bird will list in the list box.you can also querying the birdname directly . After that ,you select the bird which you need and click the Add button.
You will see the selected bird is listed in the listbox.
When you finished add new record,just click Quit button ,system will prompt you Add or Quit .
When you click Edit Record from the main men ,you can view the following windows,you can find record saved in the database,There are three buttons in the bottom of window, Add ,Edit,Delete .You can select the record and edit this record
After you edit the record, you can click quit button and system will prompt you save or quit
Click the Reference Book from main menu ,you will see the following windows.There are two method to querying the reference book.One is Classic and another is Tree view.
In the Classic view mode ,you can choose the outline ,target,department,dependents to find the right bird. You can also input the bird name to find the detail information .

In the Tree view mode ,you just click different tree button to find the right bird.
After you click the bird you wanted, the species information will show you .You can find more information from the following window.There are four tabs in this window.
You can view the bird image
The ditribution information will show .
The behaviour information list in the next windows.
The following windows is Querying Report,system will load all record in the list view,you can querying bird name ,lcation ,record date .
You can select the record to view the detail record information .
The detail record information will show as below.
You can also muti check to querying complex information .
The sub online record show below.you can check the record which you want to submit ,then click the submit button to submit .
The following is windows of Location Management .system will load the location information in the list view .you can click the Add ,Edit,Delete button to manipulate the record.
Click Add button ,you will see the Add New Location windows below . The GPS information will automatically input in the textbox by click the button of OpenGPS.
When you finished edit the location information , click the Exit button you will prompt the Save window show as below .
The following is Device Management windows. You can add ,edit ,delete the differenct device information .
Click Add button to add new device information .
User Management window show as below.
Click the Add button to add new user information , you can select the user picture by click the button of Select Picture .
Click Template Management from main menu,system will load the template name and location information in the list view, you can also add new template by click Add button .
You can input the Template name ,location ,user, device information to the text box.
Switch the Add New Seeds menu to add new bird. Select the different outline,target,department,dependents to load different bird,Check it and click Add button ,you will find the new bird will add in the Template Information menu .
Click the Setting from the Main menu, you will find the Category menu ,you can customize your outline,target,department,dependents information .
Click Outline Menu ,you will load the windows of Outline Management .
Click Add button to add new Outline information
Click Target Management from the Category menu,you will find the following windows.
Click the Add button ,you can add new Target information ,You should select the outline information which cover the current target.
Click the Department Management menu ,you will find the following menu
Click the Add button to add new department .
Click the Dependents Management menu ,you will find the following menu
Click Add button to add new dependents information .
Click the Species management to load the following windows,select your bird name to edit the detail information
you can also querying the bird name which you want.
When you click Edit button ,the detail bird information will show in the windows. The basic information show in the following windows.
This windows show the description information .
This windows show the bird picture information .
This windows show the bird Iris information .
This windows show the bird Bill information .
This windows show the bird Feet information .
This windows show the bird Sound information .
This windows show the bird Distribution information .
This windows show the bird Status information .
This windows show the bird Behaviour information .
This windows show the bird NickName information .
The following window is database setting.You can choose the database by click Open button ,after choose the right database, please click Save button to save the setting , you can also click Test Connectino button to test .
If test is OK , system will prompt you test is successfully.
The following is Network Server Setting,you can submit the record to the you wanted the server. This function has not finished .
The following is GPS setting window. YOu can set the port number,BaudRate,the default setting is 4800.When you finished setting ,click the Open button to test. If there is no Longitude and latitude information show in the text box, please reset the GPS device .
The icon will show in blue color when the device is running normal.
You can switch three language for this software, Simplified Chinese ,Traditional Chinese and English .
This window is Help window ,you can find the version information 。
The following is Register window, you can input user name and Email to generate your machine code, send these information to lidan@vip.163.com ,then you will receieve the register code .This register code is bounded with your hardware, if you change your harddisk ,you need a new register code.
User input the register code and click register button to register.
The last windows is help window ,you will find the lastest help information form this window. 4.Unzip the InstallDisk-PC.zip file to your hard disk and run BWMSPC.exe
